No time to have an Adventure

Dear George,

Well so much has happened since i last wrote to you.  Let me begin by saying sorry for not writing sooner.  The weather has been very nice this last few days it's a scorching 27*C outside at the moment and the temp is expected to stay high for a while still.  The train i have been using to get me to work has been, on average, 2mins late everyday...until the day when i'm running late.  It of course was bang on time that day. And let us not forget that the price of a first class stamp has sat proudly at the cost of 46p.

Work has been keeping away from trouble.  I know i seem to be complaining about it a lot lately but since i'm doing little else but arrive at work at 8am each day and finish at 7pm with aches, pains, a dirty face and little to look forward too aside from the sweet relief of death, there's not much in the way of distractions to write about.  However, in the micro moments of life i do get i was able to watch the new Harry Potter film, attend a hip-hop karaoke night, and invest in a BBQ (not all at once!).

I have noticed just how lovely London is in the summer, and for all my moaning about working i have been able to enjoy some wonderful sun drenched evenings sat in various pubs along the south bank or Covent garden.  Right now along the river Themes, outside the Royal festival hall there is a mock beach with real sand and beach huts.  Every day there's a festival atmosphere there, with seemingly hundreds of happy Londoners spilling out of every restaurant and bar enjoying the warm pleasant evening air.  Often i will leave work and walk from Waterloo all the way to London Bridge to catch my train and meet with Sophie since she works at the Globe.  It's nights like this i'm reminded why i took leave of the countryside to work in a big noisy city.  So i'll sign off for now, i have a BBQ to organise this weekend.

Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave

Ps.  Amy Winehouse died the other day.  It's very sad, she was only 27.  I met her once.  It was in a bar called 'Jazz cafe' or something like that...it's pretty cool.  I was in there with some friends watching a jazz band and she came in and was rude to the bar staff, rude to our table and rude to the band. That's all i'm going to say.
