Dear George,
Well so much has happened... but first let me thank you for the lovely message you posted. It's pretty cool to think my blog is banned in other countries. So let us begin by telling you about the lovely weather we're having... couple of cloudy rainy days, but on the whole it's been a lovely summer so far. outside it's a glorious 23*C. I've not left my house yet so no update on the trains. First class stamps are still 46p and alas, Royal mail have lost a package that was sent to me.
OK, i'll cease the pleasantries for now... i don't know if you've seen the news while you're on your travels but London and a few other places across the country have turned into war zones... i wish i was joking. Rioting and looting have been happening and it's pretty fucking scary. I must admit it's not effecting me too much. It just so happens that i'm off work this week so don't need to travel around but places like Croydon and Clapham are no go areas. I'm reading the BBC news site now and it's telling me that there were riots in Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham last night and 3 men died trying to protect thier business'. There is just so much information for me to process and summarize for you... It all started Saturday night in Tottenham and from then on large groups of mainly youths have been looting ever since. It's just awful mate. i'm reading about it now trying to fish out the interesting bits for you but it's making my blood boil. How i wish i had joined you. I'll sift thru the facts and tell you a bit more once it's all over. I'll end by saying i'm doing fine. there was a wee bit of rioting and looting down the road on the high street but luckily i live far enough away from and trouble, although it has meant most of the shops are closed and boarded up which is a pain because i really really need a hair cut... truly i am the victim.
On lighter news, i had a wicked awesome BBQ on Sunday and recorded a pretty podcast so expect episode 7 of Chinaman's Adventure soon.
Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave
