Dear George,
Afternoon George, what state do i find you in today? Here is one of the many letters form the weekend previous that due to the lack of internet connection i could not post to you...
Good morning to you my friend how are you? I am up early today, i'm making another journey down to Exeter on the 0820 train from London Waterloo. It is a chilly 4*C in the capital this morning, my train was bang on time and i've upgraded myself to first class. Current i'm enjoying a lovely cup of tea, an almond croissant and watching an episode of Smallville. A first class stamp is 46p.
It's my niece's birthday this weekend which is what prompted this little adventure. She doesn't know i coming down so it should be a lovely surprise for her…. we're going bowling then going to pizza hut, i may very well have to do the same from my next birthday.
The journey is so far without incident and it has given me time to think of a idea for a new Podcast…now bare with me now, this doesn't mean an end to CMA, no no no, it's just a side project. I call it AQUATIC JUSTICE!
Aquatic Justice will be a podcast chronicling the comic book adventures of my new favourite super hero Aquaman. He's had some bad publicity over the years. He's considered to be a bit of a joke in the comic book community, a laughing stock, the weakest link in the Justice League. However, since the DC Reboot he has come back with vengeance. He has a brand new comic and his appearance in the the JLA comic was pretty bad ass. I have tried many times to write about Aquqman (a.k.a. Arthur Currie) but no matter how much i try i don't do the man justice and my quest to turn the world from Aqua-haters to Aqua-lovers seemed destined to fail. That was until one lazy sunday afternoon i decided to irritate Sophie by reading aloud the section in JLA number 4 where our moistened hero commands a shiver of sharks to leap forth from the sea and tear apart an oncoming mass of demons…it was awesome!
Not too long after that i subjected another friend of mine to a yummy slice of Dave narrated Aquaman gateau. it went down well, a little too well in fact because when i'd informed my late that i was currently on Aquaman number 4 she was outraged that she'd missed out on the story and declared that i was to read no further until she had caught up with the story…what was i to do?
A few days afterward, the cogs in my mind finally reached full speed and the the idea took form. I will use the medium of podcasting to retell the adventures of Aquaman. This way no one would miss out on his story or miss my dulset tones bringing to live the colourful underwater world from the pages of DC's clammy crusader.
So over the next few weeks i'll be piecing together some artwork and the stories ready to record a pilot podcast, and deal out some AQUATIC JUSTICE!
Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave
