Dear George,
I hope this letter finds you well. Here in London it is a chilly 5*C, the coats, scarfs and gloves are out. My train was on time but when we pulled into Canada Water the door refused to open. After seemly hours without the slightest hint of an escape, the driver piped up over the speakers to inform us that he couldn't get the doors open and we'd all have to wait until the next stop to alight the train and catch the next one in the opposite direction if we wished to be so bold as to actually want to use the underground line at Canada Water...all in all it was a process that took 15 minutes.

I am a student again! I've signed up to the Open University and am working towards to degree in English Literature, specialising in creative writing. As you may have noticed within these ramblings, i've felt a little unfulfilled of late, uninspired and creating a new adventure so i had a good old think about what makes me happy in life and wouldn't you know, writing fanciful tales of incredible adventures makes me smile from ear to ear.
Now don't for an instant think i'll be dedicating my life to writing, giving up my real job and living in a cabin, far away while i pen novel after novel, not at all. I just want to get better at writing stories, write plays and learn more about English language and literature... i may not even get the whole degree, i just want to develop my writing skills to a standard where i'm confident to show off my work...and not just throw it up on a half-baked website. I'm so excited!
So here i go, i'm on a real adventure again. An adventure in writing, an adventure in learning and an adventure in being a student again... i may be looking forward to that bit a little more than the others! My student ID should turn up in a few days then i hit Topman with my 15% discount.
Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave
