Last week's Adventures

Dear George,

Congrats on the job in Australia!  I now no longer have to put together that food parcel.  You'll be pleased to hear that it is a chilly 11*C here in London, my train ran on time today and first class stamps are still 46p each.

Again i must apologies for my lack of correspondence in the last few weeks...especially since so much has happened in my life.  So let me begin in this letter by talking about last week.  As you may or may not know, i get almost 6 weeks off a year, which is awesome.  However this becomes a pain in the rear when all members of staff fight it out to use their 6 weeks at once.  Therefore i had 16 days holiday to take before the end of March...so long story short, i had to take a week off so took it last week.

As this was all last minute i had no real plans i'd just use the week to relax and have some adventures.  So here my week in brief...

Monday...Sophie was back.  This is good as she'd been gone for ages so we took this rare opportunity to spend some quality time together and watch 'The fast and the furious: Tokyo drift' and "fast and furious [4]" ...our conclusion.  They are all awesome!  Watch this space for a fully detailed account.

Tuesday...My mum was down to stay.  In fact while she was down she visited her sisters and i came with her.l  This was the first time i'd seen most of my family for 8 years (not my mum, i'm no meany, i see her as often as i can!).  well it was lovely, i was very nervous but they treated me as if i was the only thing in life greater than oxygen.  I will make a point of seeing them as often as i can from now on.

Wednesday...Took mum to Euston Train station and said my farewells.  Met up with Sophie for lunch and a long walk around London.  A very pleasant afternoon indeed.  We finished the night off with some beer, home cooked food and 'Fast 5' ...another awesome movie, and hints at another sequel!!

Thursday...Played 'gears of war 3' most of the day and went out in the evening, just like a normal person...usually my night out starts at 10:30pm!... It was a great night mainly because Amy Pond from off of Dr Who was sat on the table next to me and she's rather pretty.  We finished the night off with a visit to a jazz bar...nice.

Friday...nothing of any note worthiness.  More 'Gears of war 3', shopping, washing and other domestic stuff.

Saturday...Warwick castle!  I lived up in Warwickshire for most of my life (20years-ish) and only now i live in London i finally visit.  It was for a friends birthday and it was awesome.  One of the best moments of the day was bumping in Russ (best mate and fan of the blog) at Leamington spa train station.  the day was topped off nicely with a curry with the beautiful birthday girl Emma.

Well that was the week that was...not too shabby, it was jut what i ask for in a week off work.  Lots of fun, sleep and booze.

Anyway, i'm off.  Back to work for me.  Our current show is leaving tomorrow which mean it'll be a long old weekend.

Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave
