Cool hand Luke 'Get-out' Adventure

Dear George,

I hope this letter finds you well.  The weather this evening is very chilly, only 9*C.  This morning my train was 3 minutes late, first class stamps are 46p each and the very last performance of 'Cool Hand Luke' is playing out on stage as i type.

That's right, tonight is the last show of the ill-fated play version of 'Cool Hand Luke'.  It was suppose to be running until January but alas, a week and a half into it's run it got it's notice and tonight, right after the show, we will be ripping apart the set, packing away the costumes and de-rigging all the lights.  It's going t be a long time until Monday.  Monday, you see, is when a new show will be arriving at our doors looking for a place to live over Christmas.  There is no room at the inn, and Sharon Gless (Lacey from off of Cagney and Lacey) will have to settle for the Aldwych theatre as her stable, in order for her to give birth to a performance...not sure where this analogy is going so i'll end it here.

Yup, it's going t be a long couple of days, but this is why i love theatre.  I wonder if i'll be saying that at 4 in the morning?

In other news i have been directed to http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/ .  It is a collection of Garfield comic strips but without Garfield.  It becomes a rather sad tale of John Arbuckel's lonely life and decent into madness...check it out!

Anyway brother, it's time for me to go.  I'm going to sneak in a little nap before this all nighter.

Take care buddy,
Yours,
Little Dave
